Bea began her stand-up comedy career in 2011after having appeared as a guest on a variety of Irish television shows and British series since 2009. As early as 2012, Bea was appearing on sitcoms or sketch comedy. In 2012, after she received an award from the Edinburgh Comedy Awards (ECA) in 2012, she began appearing often in various panel shows. She was a captain of the 8 Out of 10 Cats team from 2016-2017 and is a regular contestant in its spinoff show, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents were Brian and Helen O'Sullivan and has a sister who is named Sinead. In 2012, she was awarded the So You Believe You're Funny Award for the second time. Bea is her surname in honor of her deceased father. Aisling Cliodhnadh, O'Sullivan is a Kildare woman who was born in Kildare. Born on March 16th 1984. Bea's father Brian was an equine vet, who was killed at the age of three when Bea turned three was the suicide victim. She was told about his suicide only after 13 years old. She adopted the stage name Bea to pay tribute to her father. She she wrote an article for The Guardian in 2017 about the family's suicide experience. Bea was raised with her younger sister Sinead by Helen Moloney. Helen is a secondary teacher, jockey trainer, and a former professional racer. Her parents were obsessed by horses and racing. Bea started out as tourist guides for the Irish National Stud. But she soon realized that her true passion was acting, not racing.
